LADY SILKWORM GLOBAL RELEASE MAKE THE WORLD APPRECIATE THE CHARM OF THOUSAND-YEAR-OLD ANCIENT TOWNS

With the mind of better displaying the unique historical and cultural heritage and distinctive culture of Xinshi ancient town,we strive to build Xinshi into a boutique ancient town, so as to develop it into the one with comprehensive tourism system characterized famous mountains, wetlands and ancient towns. The song Lady Silkworm was produced by Xinshi Ancient Town Tourism Development Co.,Ltd in Deqing county with words wrote by famous musician Luo Zhiqiang who also acted as producer. It was composed by Yang Haodong, supervised by Xiang Yijiang and sung by famous singer Shitou who participated in the CCTV spring festival gala. Producers hope that this song can both express people’s deep thought from afar to their hometown and allow people to comprehend the beauty of  traditional culture, morality, humanity and ecology of Xinshi. We endeavor to promote Xinshi, an ancient town with canal and has a history of more than 1700 years, to the world in the form of music, making our due contribution to the cultural and tourism development to Xinshi.

Luo Zhiqiang was invited to participate in the creation. In the process of collecting folk songs on the spot, he was moved by many stories of silkworm girl and he believed that silkworm temple, silkworm goddess and lady silkworm and some other ancient traditional customs and folk religious and culture acclivities about silkworm are important parts of historical and cultural heritage and characteristic cultural elements of Xinshi. Lady silkworm is created based on moving story and symbol location. It is a euphony to our ear and mind. The song was also created from the thoughts that it is easy to sing. We hope

that this song are popular among people when they hear it. You can feel the beauty from the words of the songs like “the cloud-shrouded scholar bridge, mulberry trees are as usual in the falling rain in Qingming festival, the old town with a thousand years of history is graceful, and the girl with sleeves rolled up is weaving silk under the eaves....”. Shitou, the singer of this song, praises the young and positive silkworm girl with his moving and unique mid-bass, hoping that more people can feel confidence and strength and find their true heart for struggle. What’s more, we hope that we can convey the spirit of lady silkworm to more people through this song.

Lady silkworm TV was shot in scenic area of Xinshi ancient town. The unique scenery of the ancient town constitute the whole MV, which shows the rich cultural spirit of history and the image of city striving for innovation and presents a thriving and beautiful Deqing to the audience. Literature and art are the horn signifying the advance of the times, best representing the style of an era and leading the ethos of an era. Music is a symbol of the progress of the human era. Every age has its own music that reflects its features. In recent years,  Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province has been actively creating and promoting literary songs and wants to tell its good story through the fine literature and art and good voice.
